What is wedding calligraphy?
Wedding calligraphy is the art of beautifully hand-written lettering, created with traditional tools and techniques to bring a refined, meaningful touch to your celebration.
Alongside pen and ink calligraphy, I also offer engraved personalisation on items such as glass, metal or acrylic for a luxury, long-lasting finish.
What is the process?
I work with you to choose the right style, materials and layouts to suit your wedding theme. Depending on the items you’d like personalised, I use high-quality pens, inks, paint or engraving tools to create everything from name cards and menus to welcome signs, table plans and decorative pieces. I can also create bespoke keepsakes -beautifully written or engraved items that you and your guests can treasure as lasting memories of your special day.
Live wedding calligraphy
Live on-the-day calligraphy and engraving is also available, offering your guests a unique and memorable experience.
On the day, I set up a small table space at your venue where guests can have their items personalised, creating thoughtful keepsakes they’ll cherish long after the celebrations are over.
What is the lead-time for bespoke wedding calligraphy?
Lead-times depend on the quantity and detail of the items you need. After discussing your order, I’ll let you know exactly when everything will be completed.
If you’re booking live calligraphy or engraving for your wedding day, I can stay for as long as needed to personalise items for your guests during your celebration.
Where are you based?
I’m based in North Dorset, but my work often takes me all over Dorset, Somerset and the the UK. If your wedding is further away and you’d like a live calligraphy session, that’s no problem - I’m always happy to travel.
