What can I expect?

Our hands-on workshops are fun, relaxed sessions where you’ll learn the art of modern calligraphy - from basic strokes and letterforms to creating your own personalised pieces. No experience is needed. Each workshop is beginner-friendly and designed to help you explore calligraphy at your own pace using traditional tools and high-quality materials.

What is included in your calligraphy workshops?

I provide everything you need for the session, including pens, nibs, inks, paper and practice sheets. We’ll start by learning the fundamentals like how to hold the pen, control pressure and form each letter, before moving on to joining words, styling your lettering and adding simple flourishes.

Throughout the workshop, I offer guidance, demonstrations and individual support, and you’ll leave with your practice sheets and a personalised piece you’ve created yourself.

How long are your calligraphy workshops?

Workshops typically run between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the venue and format. Longer or private sessions can be arranged on request. Once you enquire, I’ll confirm the session length and all details.

How much does a calligraphy workshop cost?

Workshop pricing varies depending on venue, group size and materials. Please get in touch for a tailored quote.

Where do you host calligraphy workshops?

Workshops are held across Dorset, Somerset and the Southwest, in cosy cafés, community spaces, studios and creative venues. I also offer private workshops for groups, events, hen parties and corporate creativity sessions. If you have a suitable space with tables and good lighting, I can bring the workshop to you and travel costs can be included in your quote.
